There are many individuals who are suffering from serious ailments. These diseases have dominated their lives to such an extent that they are left fending for it all their lives. Most of these diseases do not have a  cure as of now but scientists are on the lookout to find cures for the same. The most promising help seems to be coming from gene therapy, also known as molecular therapy. In molecular therapy a normal gene is introduced into a cell which is used to target the affected and defective genes. The basic approach towards molecular therapy includes the following steps. It includes identification of the gene that plays a key role in that genetic disorder; this would be followed by isolation of the gene and then making copies of that gene and use it to cure that disease.

Molecular therapy can be used to cure the diseases in the following way. It could either translate into injecting the gene into the body of the patient or isolating the  affected cells from the patient and injecting it with the gene and then transferring the cells back into the patient. Molecular therapy reaches to a disease at its base and attempts to cure it. In the case of a cell the base is its genetic material. By molecular therapy the genetic material of the effected cell is altered by introducing in it the gene to allow it to cure.

Catch Info on Tumor Therapy

Tumor is nothing but a case where cells of the body start multiplying continuously and abnormally without any control. This leads to the formation of a mass of cells. This mass of cells is known as Tumor. There are several agents which can act as a trigger towards causing tumor. Tumor therapy aims to take care of the tumor. Embryonic stem cells are hailed in the medical community because of their ability to divide and differentiate. This led to the use of embryonic stem cells towards curing various diseases . But this came with a side effect.

This capacity of the stem cells to divide without any control in most cases led to the formation of tumorous growth leading to the formation of tumors. Tumor therapy is working towards taking care of this tumor and working towards preventing tumors to happen.
